About us
Overview
Glenside Celtic Soccer Club was formed in 2019 to preserve and promote the values of Irish culture and community through sports, for children and parents in our region (Philadelphia and its suburbs). This club is a brother/sister club of the Glenside Gaelic Club.
Glenside Celtic is dedicated to the development of young athletes and a healthy, active lifestyle within a structured and competitive environment. The club strives to encourage good sportsmanship and fair play among all participants. We seek to inspire curiosity and understanding of other traditions and ethnicities through sports, education, travel and activities. Glenside Celtic aims to maintain a safe and sociable atmosphere where families can feel a sense of camaraderie and community spirit.
There are currently over 275 young athletes involved in our three programs: *Wee Kick About, U8 In-House, and Travel. Below is our typical schedule.

Our Soccer Programs
"Wee Kick About" is a fun-filled program offered by Glenside Celtic for boys and girls who are 5 and 6 years old. This program was developed to teach the fundamentals of soccer to our young athletes in a fun and educational way.

Our "In-House" league is our recreational sports league for children who are 7 and 8 years old. All teams are part of Glenside Celtic, meaning it is beginner-level, focused on fun and cultivating soccer fundamentals, rather than advanced, competitive play.

"Travel Soccer" focuses on the development of the athlete’s fundamental soccer skills through advanced training sessions and competitive league play during the Fall, Winter, and Spring Soccer Seasons.
Glenside Celtic’s spring and fall travel teams participate primarily in the Inter-County Soccer League which includes teams from Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.
